That big stuff is a lot more finicky to install than 1/2"-2" CTS. The job I just finished had a pantload of 3" main in the first floor ceiling. Luckily, we only had one leak on all of it.

Although I seldom use plumber's putty, I always wrap the unused putty in Saran Wrap and return it into the plastic container. It always stays fresh this way. Does anyone else do this?
