Increase water pressure in my shower

The easiest way I know to communicate to you over the internet on how to fix this would be for you shut the water off to your house, pull the shower valve apart and take the guts to a plumbing supplier.

possible to find out exactly where water line runs underground?

You NEVER have to replace the whole line!!

    The Clear J-Trap

Second, the removable belly is a "fouling surface" so it won't be approved for use in Oregon.

    The Clear J-Trap

Well first of all it's called a P-trap.

Increase water pressure in my shower

It maybe a cartridge or stem then. If you've noticed a change in velocity at the tub spout and the shower head when it was better before then it most likely is in the tub/shower valve.

Increase water pressure in my shower

Unthread the shower head and take out the flow restrictor, if it doesn't have one then pull out the screen inside. This will let bits of debris get into the shower head but you will definitely increase the velocity coming out of the shower head. If you spent a lot of money on the shower head...

auger head disappeared into drain =(

If you have ABS or PVC waste piping you are in luck. I once pulled a head out by taping a magnet to the end of the snake, it was only about 8 feet in though. It won't work in Cast Iron because the magnet sticks to the pipe.

    Floor Drain Backflow preventer question

What you call a "back flow preventer" is actually called a back water valve (FYI). The bits you're looking for are called "SDS Core Bits", do a Google search and you'll find them. I don't recommend them if you are going through a think wall. The hardest thing to do is get proper slope/grade...

Registered Gas Installer Can Provide Best Repair Services

I noticed that when I stop breathing I get this really uncomfortable feeling, and I don't like it. So to make sure that I don't get this uncomfortable feeling, I make sure I breath all the time. This way my life if not filled with uncomfortableness. I recommend that when others get that same...

    Suction prevention valve?

Can you cut in a vent to break the siphon? The vent would only work if the pump discharged into the tank with an air gap.

    Plumbing drainage and vent systems

UPC air test: 5 psi for 15 min. As far as "reventing", that's an "industry term" we use in my neck of the woods to describe connecting one fixture vent to another. Code only gives us max horizontal and vertical distances, as long as you size correctly and don't exceed the max distances you...

Sewer Smells from Washing machine Drain

Instead of running the washing machine drain straight to the horizontal drain as pictured, cut the vertical waste above the floor. Install a p-trap at the bottom of the "stand pipe" 6" off the floor. Run the outlet of the p-trap (trap arm) and tie it into the vent to the right with a san tee...

    Sewer Line Replacement

Also, there is a difference here in Oregon between the building drain and building sewer. The building sewer starts 2' outside the building and Kenny's entire sewer needs to be replaced. In his building drain there are belly's and a significant amount of grease build up and it's going to give...

    Sewer Line Replacement

Why would you go to all of that trouble and pay all of that money and not replace the whole sewer line? That is ridiculous. Of course you never HAVE to replace the whole thing, the point is that you don't want trackhoes tearing up your yard a year or two from now, to replace the stuff you...

Flushing Toilet clogged + spews water out of bathtub?

The toilet and tub that backed up share the same drain, there is most likely a lav in there too if this is a standard full bath. The one upstairs must tie in further down from the clog. You may, and I mean MAY, be able to clear the clog by going through the overflow in the tub with a 1/4" snake...

Modify the PVC pipe under the wash hand basin

The tee must be installed on the inlet side of the trap. They make dish washer tail piece in flanged and compression.
