Vanity sink pop up drain threads

I’m installing a pop drain in my new vanity. It is a farm sink with no overflow. My issue is I can not install a regular drain the back splash is to close to faucet for a lever. I purchased a moen pop up drain but the threads are to far down the pop up drain to tighten to sink. Does anyone have any ideas to use the moen pop up drain with the current threads? If not possible an alternative would be great. I attached some pictures.

You need a pop up drain for a lavatory without an overflow.

What does the nut and washer look like that tightens it up

They are small, actually probably just regular size

I just installed two moen pop-up assemblies that push to open & close. The plastic nut was about three inches
long and the way it is made the nut goes over the bare part of the shank and tightens up. The one that you have
will not work. I would clean it up and take it back. These pop ups that I put in came with the moen 2 handle
lavatory faucets.

Drains are sold for lavatories with overflows and ones without. Usually they’re for lavatories with overflows.
