This house was renovated fairly recently and the tub drain doesn't seem to be properly connected.
Recently water came sleeping out from under the wall next to the tub and we found the drain wasn't properly connected.
We opened up the drain and cleared a big hairball clog, and then shoved the drainpipe back in the hole. It drains properly now but obviously if there is a clog again instead of backing into the tub the water will come out of the bad connection.
What do you think is going on here at this connection?
I am trying to reach in there and chisel around the pipe. The pipe in the foundation seems to be metal and there seems to be a nut but it is encased partly in concrete.
Any advice is much appreciated!
