What bank do you have now? I had Hibernia but it was bought out by Capital One. My mother withdrew $200 and I cashed a $35 check for jury duty. A few months later my mother noticed that her account was $450 short and when she contacted the bank they claimed that the clerk had accidentally given out $450 extra on top of the $200. Now, my parents always counted the money when they got it and combined it was a total of $235 (counting the money I cashed). They claimed it was legit because the clerk's drawer balanced. We demanded they either put the money back in the account until they could look at the tapes and see what the clerk actually did with the money. they claimed they had sent the tapes off and would have to get them back and they'd call us once they reviewed them. They never called. Then my father had a heart attack so we got sidetracked and the next time we asked them about it they claimed to have no idea what we were talking about and that the tapes had since been erased and they refused to put the money back. I took all of my money out of the bank and put it in another bank.

The local Capital One really sucks.

Meanwhile, Friday would have been my father's 66th birthday. I really miss him.
 
I bank with a small town bank out here, they take pretty good care of me.


Well off to the woods, wish me luck on shooting dinner.
 
We have our personal account with a big bank, but when I opened up the business, I put that account in a small local bank with three branches. No problems with them so far.
 
The first one is facing south from the southwest side of the lake behind the ski resorts and the second is facing north from most of the way down the mountain on the northeast side.
 
So I get a call from my new neighbor behind my house yesterday morning saying my dog is barking and has been barking non stop since 6am, everyday for 4 weeks now. She was very rude. She also called last weekend when we were at a party to say our dogs were barking nonstop and that there was a smoke alarm going off. At that time we sent the other neighbor over to check things out and they said the dogs were not barking and there was no alarm going off. This time I sent the neighbor over to lock the dogs up inside the house. So I know for a fact the dogs have not been out everyday for the last four weeks barking because I have had them locked up inside when I was at work for the last few weeks. The lady said that every morning they bark nonstop yet I have been home the last couple weeks and the dogs have been inside with no barking. We have one dog that barks a little but not to the annoying amount. Now this kind of pisses me off, it's one thing if my dogs were a nuisance but they are not and I know she is lying about it. Normally I would not care but in my area if one person complains to the city then you are forced to either debark your dog or make them wear a bark collar when they are out, two people on my street already have to do this and there is no way around it. They don't even come out to check first.
 
That's a tough situation. Why don't you place a voice activated digital recorder in the backyard with the dogs, and find out for yourself if the dogs are in fact barking as she says?
 
Not to defend your neighbor, but dogs will behave differently when you and your vehicle are away from home.

I drove back out to Lake Havasu today. The weather is beautiful! I'll be here another week and plan on finishing up the painting, installing new doors, and deciding what flooring to install.
 
I know they are different and I am sure they can get annoying, I am more bitter with they way they are acting. It's the lying that gets me. The first time they called they said our dogs were barking for four hours and we had been gone maybe an hour. When we came back ten minutes later the dogs were in the house sleeping. I'm sure they went out and barked but not to the extent the lady says.
 
I'm waiting till Halloween, they say they are throwing a party so once 10:05 hits I will be calling the authorities if there is any noise.

Talked to my neighbors that watch our dogs and they didn't even let them out of the house till after 8am when she says they we're barking from 6am.
 
They also want to replace the fence between our houses with a wall which I was ok with but now I don't think I can afford it.
 
Today I learned I you need more than a couple of small holes in a drum to get it to burn properly.
