I have this pump (I'm guessing it's 20 gallons, going by its height), in a closet in the bathroom. It used to sound like a motor running until it refilled after using water, now it just clicks a few times. The water pressure is fine, but it's confusing me.
I've been in this house since 2011 and it was put in before that. The tank shows little small rusty spots and since this past horrible winter I noticed that it has a very slow seeping leak in the fittings that has gotten the floor damp, but no standing water.
I saw that you can buy new part to the control switch that looks dead easy to install, but that this doesn't always correct the problem and it looks like you might then have to move on the the fittings, and tank. It from what I can tell, it seems that they all have to be bought separately. So I was thinking it would probably be more sensible to get the plumber in to do it all.
I talked to one guy and he said since it was keeping pressure to just leave it until it breaks, does this sound right?
Thanks for any enlightenment or suggestions.
