I want to move our washing machine to a different spot in our basement. Currently, it is plumbed in a utility room, but on the other side of the basement, about 10 feet from where the sewer mainline turns a corner and exits the house, we have an access port or cleanout access cap. The cap is about 4 inches below the concrete grade. Upstream from this sewer access is a shower, toilet, sink and washer, along with two cheater vents and then the rest of the house plumbing. Downstream is nothing but another sewer clean-out pipe located in the outside yard. Water and electricity are also easily accessible right in that spot where I want to move the washer.

Would there be any issues with attaching a reducer and running a 1.5 inch pipe to a P-trap and then a riser to recreate the current plumbing for the washer?

any thoughts on this?
