So I'm working in our 2023 mobile home. The kids clogged the tub and then the girlfriend broke a zip strip off below the tub drain trying to unclog. So I picked up a drain removal tool so I could get the zip strip out. I unscrewed the drain from the pipe but the drain still would not come out. It was loose in the base of the tub. So I cut it out with my multi-tool. What I found was the drain had a nut on the back side and the actual pipe it screws into has a spinning nut on it.
Am I wrong in thinking this was done wrong? From what I've seen and looked up I should not have to get under the tub to screw the drain on from the backside.
