I had leak when a family member overfilled the bathtub, I deduced that it’s a faulty overflow. Wondering if anyone has tips on how I can prevent this again, maybe my extra sealants or something
From your verbal description you should have a rubber gasket between the overflow and the tub. You can use silicone gasket maker to make this seal better but the rubber gasket should fit well and be lined up properly. The rubber seal should do 99% of the job.
