sink faucet dripping

One of the sink faucets in my bathroom started dripping last night, however, it stopped when I turned on the shower. Then it happened again this morning. So I turned on the shower again and it did stopped. Anyone knows what is going on here?

After some google searching I think the most likely cause is high water pressure. Any feedback is also welcome.

You might be right. Check your water pressure.

(or keep your shower on all the time). Just kidding folks! Sorry Lisa but I couldn't help myself! What Twowaxhack says is correct and the faucet itself could be compromised as well.

I reduced the water pressure, and so far so good. Thank you both!
