having a 10yo Heat-Flo 40g indirect replaced with the same.
leaking prolly due to not checking the anode. Oh well.
The original install has the aquastat directly wired to the gas boiler without a switch in between.
The only switch shuts off the boiler and HF.
Can a switch be inserted in the circuit to the boiler or must it stay this way?
If this were to happen again (now that I know to check the anode) at least I could still have heat and shut off the DHW.
Could this tank have failed when the local water auth replaced the water vault at the street and turned on the water in a gush of pressure and blown the seals.?
