A lot of the generation today don't even know how to read a tape measure.

Those are a pain to use. I have a couple laying around. I wonder why they call those carpenter tape measurers?????

It has a few advantages.
Taking short overhead measurements by folding at 90 degrees.
Also, remembers angles.
Use as a back scratcher.

Disadvantage: only 6 feet long

I can't believe you're not including PEX. Or even Polybutylene repair. How to connect different types of pipes in a mixed/upgraded/repaired system.
