I'm an amateur plumber, learning as I go, remodeling several properties at the moment. I've been working with a certified plumber to learn the trade. I'm making a lot of mistakes and hoping to get better with time, and with the help of this community!

I am currently not licensed but working under some else's certification. I am not currently enrolled in class. Do you think I should be?

You have to be registered by the state and the plumber your working for could could be in trouble having and unlicensed person working with him ,and all the time you have worked does not go toward the hours you need for your licence

Unfortunately he's incorrect if a plumbing inspector came on the job he can ask you for you apprentice card and if you don't have one you will be asked to leave the job,
