This is a two part question and appreciate any help provided:

(1) attached are two pictures (old style irritrol valve & interior parts). Can someone help identify the model? Please note there is just a plain solenoid on top of the valve with no option to manually turn on the zone by twisting the solenoid. The only way to manually turn on the zone is to use the bleed screw.

(2) the lowest pop up head in one zone keeps leaking, so I assume it is a valve problem. I've taken the old valve apart and cleaned it, but it still leaks. Ideally, I'd like to buy something like a 2400S Irritrol valve and then use the old housing but rebuild with the new parts. If that does not work then I'll have to cut out the old valve and replace the whole thing. So my question is will parts from some new version (like the 2400S) fit on the old housing or do I have to just cut out the old valve and start from scratch?

Thanks
