Hey all, ive replaced a furnace before with gas lines, new fittings, couplers etc.
I am now working a kitchen remodel and the gas line comes out 30" above the floor, I need it to come out 6" from the floor.
The vertical gas line coming up is 21', is there any way to just cut the 2' off of the existing line (obviously with the gas shut off and the line purged with air) and clamp a fitting on to continue the path to the face of the wall, or do I need to replace the entire 21' length with a piece cut and rethreaded at a local shop to the size I need?
