Hi!

I am looking for advice on whether or not I should add a booster pump to my home water system.

The current water pressure in the home is 32psi, the reading was taken from the upstairs laundry room, I installed a Simer 4075SS-01 3/4 HP Pressure Booster Pump to boost the sprinkler system, I installed this myself and plumbed this pump into the house supply line with a shut off that is closed, when this valve is opened and a faucet in the house is opened the booster pump does not switch on, I have attached a photo showing the plumbing layout. The plumbing system in the house is PEX.

My questions are:
1. Is it a good idea to use the simmer pump to boost the house water pressure?

2. Is the way I have currently plumbed it done correctly to boost the house water supply?

I am also planning to install a Phyn plus automatic water shut off valve to monitor the house water supply, I would install it after the tee-off for the sprinkler system as I do not want it to monitor the sprinkler system.

I would appreciate your thoughts.
