What pump for home hot water recirculation

I found a YouTube video, "Sizing Domestic Hot Water Recirculation Pumps" that really helped me put all the pieces together. After going through a manual process it shows an app on the Taco website that lets you describe your system with a few entries then makes pump recommendations--Taco pumps...

What pump for home hot water recirculation

I will be doing the dedicated return line in 1/2" pex. Wouldn't survive running copper down in that crawl (literally) space.

What pump for home hot water recirculation

    >You would need a very small pump< I agree, that's what I'm trying to find.

What pump for home hot water recirculation

Thanks, I did actually consider that early on, but decided not to take the chance that it wouldn't be quite what we wanted. We're willing to pay the extra cost of a dedicated return line and pump, etc.

What pump for home hot water recirculation

I'm running a dedicated recirculation line for our kitchen sink, which is about a 50 foot run from the hot water tank. I'm looking for a small pump, around 2 gpm, to keep the fps low to avoid damage to the pipes. I want to use my own timer to turn off the pump during sleep hours, and a...

Hot water recirculation with return line. Working examples?

As the original poster, I have found this all very interesting. It does confirm our preference, though, which is a combination of timer and temperature sensor. The timer would shut the pump down during sleep hours, and the temperature sensor would keep the hot water ready at the kitchen sink...

Hot water recirculation with return line. Working examples?

I want to install hot water recirculation with return line to our kitchen sink. It's about a 45-50 foot run from the water heater, 3/4" copper pipe. I'm finding it hard to find simple, straightforward examples of this online. I would be grateful for information and/or examples that will help...

Yes, one way or another that will certainly get done.

Is repair possible to the copper pipe in this picture?

The top tee is seeping. Put you finger on the bottom of it and it gets wet.

Is repair possible to the copper pipe in this picture?

Kitchen being remodeled. Contractor's plumbers came first and ripped out the mess under the sink and reconfigured the piping leaving nice new stubs. They left the incoming hot and cold copper pipes, which arguably should have been replaced, particularly the left one, but, you know...

    Knocking in shower valve

Regarding my original post which began this thread: "The shower valve in the kids' bathroom gives a kind of double knocking sound when water is turned on or off in the house, particularly when the clothes washer or dishwasher do their on-off thing..." I replaced the cartridge with the one...

    Knocking in shower valve

To be honest, I was wondering whether to get officially annoyed with Price Pfister--it had been a few days since I messaged them. Well, they answered today and told me they are sending me the parts under warranty! I hadn't even asked for that, all I had asked for was help identifying which...

    Knocking in shower valve

I misspoke. I don't want to replace the whole valve, just the working part that's held the housing by the four screws. I'm not sure how to refer to it.

    Knocking in shower valve

I would like to replace the value unit and asked the manufacturer via their website what model line it is, several days ago no answer yet. Can anyone suggest which valve (part number, model line, etc) would be the correct replacement? Here is what it looks like inside and out. It's about 7...

    Knocking in shower valve

Yes, that's it, it is a Price Pfister. Thanks.

    Knocking in shower valve

Thank you very kindly for the comments and instructions! There's nothing like a picture to move things along, eh? Another question: I am assuming this is a 'pressure balanced' unit, because its installation several years ago solved a longstanding problem of the shower running hot or cold...

    Knocking in shower valve

I've attempted to attach a snapshot of the valve. Can anyone tell the maker by looking at it?
