Pipe inactive for 1 year, now blocked.

If it sat a long time you now have dried debris and rust. You need to jet the line to clean it up.

Gurgle noise from tub when flushing toilet

Sounds like you have two problems. 1) you most likely have a drain problem. Run a auger down your main then camera the line. 2) check your back flow preventer.

    Floor drain question (pics)

The floor drain has a trap in it. The white plug bypasses the trap so a plumber can auger the drain. If your drill auger can not clear it you most likely need a longer cable or bigger auger.

Okay to use rubber coupler to connect copper pipe to ABS pipe

The coupling he should use is a no hub. Inch and a half was pretty common a long time ago but two inch is now recommend. As far as soldering a ring around the pipe does nothing but making a area to possibly leak. If I was you I would redo it.

    Repeat broken pipe

The first picture is a sharkbite fitting. Not the best as they can fail. The second fitting is pro press fitting. It should not fail unless improperly done. Once done correctly you only need the leave the outside faucet on for about an hour. Not all winter. If you still think you will have a...
