Yup! Are you coming out this year?

Did some damage on the burbon

Wheeling with the big boy. where's your jeep?

Last time my jeep was off road was last yr @ TDS.

I have been procrastinating on doing a lot of things this past year.
I need to pull my tranny and fix a shifting problem. But it's so much easier to plop down at my desk and visit PF.
I have my step daughter, her brother and his son all living with us now. What I really need is a place to put the jeep to work on it. But I have my service van in the drive way, wife's car in the garage, daughters truck & my jeep parked on the street in front of the house, and Joe's SUV across the street.

Now I'm just looking for excuses.

Here's another one. I'm tired, physically. I work hard, come home, take a shower. eat, then flop down in front of the boob tube or my computer.
go to bed get up and do it all over again.

I was supposed to have surgery on my hand last Friday but got cancelled because my insurance changed.

Monday, my step-daughter is going into major surgery on her back.
they are going to slice here stomach open, push her intestines out of the way to get to the front side of her spine. close that up. roll her over and then go in from the back to do a second procedure.
I think her 3rd time under the knife.

have I ranted enough??
Family is starting to stir. I got up @ 5:30 am and it's 7:30 now. It's my step daughter. she's usually up at 5:30.

have fun @TDS :(

Tds was fun this year. I won about 4K worth of jeep parts at the raffle last night. Windy as crap right now and has been all night. Gonna go on a run then pack up and go home.

Ale, that looks delicious!

Chris, glad you finally got to go out for your vacation. I would have been very pissed at that friend of yours for leaving you hanging the way he did.

Mr_David, I hope your step-daughter's surgery goes well. Crossing my fingers for her.

I've been busy playing chauffeur again since my brother's truck still isn't fixed. Replaced the driveshaft after we found the right one, but something with the back end isn't stable-- it moves too much. Might be something with the axle-- and a new axle costs the same amount of $ my bro paid for the truck in the first place. Hopefully we can get it fixed. Bro works in the morning, so I'm hoping to get the Ridgeline registered tomorrow. Then sometime in the week we are hoping to go to Texas to look at car sales. This time we are trying to make sure to bring a friend-- he needs new work boots and hasn't been able to find any around here (not much in the way of options here). His current ones are falling apart.

Phishfood, did you get any pics on you hike? Sounds like it would be a nice area. I haven't gone hiking in about 15 years.

Won a bunch of stuff. Very few things I could use. I got a set of rock hard 4x4 bumpers for a jk, a warn pullzall winch thing, anti rock sway bar for a tj, led light covers, 250 bucks off a truck bed cover, 50 bucks to 4wheel parts, couple shirts that don't fit and some tool bags, a trail bag for trash. And some other misc stuff.

Yup, tried talking the wife into getting one for her car and she declined.

Craigslist they go.

Sweet, a good day. I need to see if my parts showed up so I can ship them out.

Got my truck inspected to get the sticker. Apparently they aren't needed in TX but are in Louisiana. Walked in to the inspection place and was told the woman would be right with me to do the inspection. She was playing with her smartphone. I stood there for 5 min waiting and then asked if she was on her lunch break. She said she was doing something (I forget what) and had sort of an attitude.

I pulled in and went through the stuff. Then she said she needed to check the tint on my windows. She put the meter on and said they were too dark and I would have to go have the tint removed first. Said I could get it done at a local place for about $10 to $20. I called my buddy at Autozone to find out if he could do it and one of his co-workers overheard. She said "Tell her to go to the glass place. They'll give her the sticker." So I went to the glass place which just opened up right next to my insurance company's office. Lady was very nice. She went through the checklist, scraped off the remnants of the old sticker, and put the new one on. Guess I'm going to her shop in two years when I need it renewed. I just hope that place stays open. And they do residential house windows and all sorts of stuff, so I may have a place to get my bedroom window glass replaced now.

A bunch of businesses closed early today due to the weather. We barely made it to the bank in time-- they closed two hours early. My brother got a new rear axle for his truck-- turns out the old one was the wrong one. It was for an S10 and he's got a c1500. Our friend spent a few hours getting the old one off (in the rain) and new one mounted-- but something still needs some more work.

Getting up before 6am so we can head out in the morning to go buy a new CR-V tomorrow (technically today). At least a 4 hour drive. Wish me luck!
