Hello all!

I'm the lucky owner of a new house! Unfortunately, it was built by drunks and owned for the past 16 years by an idiot. And I'm the bigger idiot for buying it!

I need help with my whole house sediment filter. It's a GE GXWH08C. Unfortunately, it's very hard to come by as I'm guessing they don't make them anymore. I could use some help in any of the following:

1) An OEM or aftermarket replacement for just the clear sump housing

2) An OEM or aftermarket replacement for the entire system. I'd rather something the will fit into existing connections (filter housing is 4.4375 inches from opening to opening) and has a filter bypass valve.

Can anyone out there help me?

Thank you!

AO smith makes a whole house sediment filter housing with stainless steel inlets. It takes standard filters. Doesn’t come with a filter.

Costs about $25 at Lowes. It’s the best you’ll get for the money.
