What replacement trim kit can I use?

I have a house that was built in the 50's, I believe the bathroom was remodeled at some point. The shower has a Danze cartridge (shown in attached pictures) that I ended up replacing with this DA507107: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B02JFAI

The issue is that my trim kit no longer fits on the stem of the new cartridge. What trim kit can I get that would be a replacement?

Why does the trim not fit? If it's the correct cartridge trim should fit. Got any pics of the cartridge installed? Did you remove the balancing half that is shown still in the valve?

The stem is different - the old one is hexagonal. It's hard to tell from the pictures but it's the same as the one @Twowaxhack posted: https://www.faucet.com/mirabelle-mi...kit-for-use-with-mir1407/f2233540?uid=2233540 . The new one is grooved, as you can see in the pictures here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B02JFAI?tag=forumyield-20&th=1 . The handle I have fits the old cartridge but not the new one. A local hardware store told me that the new cartridge I bought is the replacement for the old one - is this not the case?

I attached a picture of the trim + new cartridge, and the old handle I have. I could turn off the water to the house and take a picture of the full cartridge, if that helps. Yes, the balancing half was stuck inside but I was able to remove it with a screwdriver.

Yes, I'm the person who originally posted on Reddit. At the time I wasn't able to find a trim kit for this cartridge so I ended up buying a universal handle that has teeth that clamps onto the cartridge. That worked for a while but it eventually ended up stripping the grooves on the cartridge and it's starting to fail, so I'm basically back to where I was originally
