That's not good and definitely problematic. I was just thinking of an experience with poison ivy that was un-pleasant for weeks. All I'm saying is make sure you have an oak or maple when you go to the rest room in the woods. Stay away from the muti branched leaves.

Son left the laundry sink on in the basement before we left to go grocery shopping. When I got back hours later there was no water pressure. When I went to the basement to investigate I heard the pump running and water pouring into the cistern. Thankfully the pump didn't burn up bit I just now got the 350 gallon cistern filled so we can take baths for church tomorrow. What a day.
Oh and sorry sheplumbr if I came off unsympathetic. I wasn't trying to make light of your situation.

All good brother

Ugh. Sorry to hear about the poison ivy. I hope it clears up quickly.

I almost got into a fistfight with a belligerent drunk this morning. Dude was a complete stranger and was in my friend's house with the friend's exgf. My friend told him to get the eff out and the guy was mouthing off to him and saying he didn't have the authority to make him leave and was being a complete jerk. He started smoking in the house (which is not allowed there) and then he got a pitcher out of the fridge and poured himself a drink. My friend was getting his roommate (who is a former pro wrestler) while I confronted the jerk. I told him that my friend told him to get out and that he better get the eff out. He tried to intimidate me but I don't get intimidated. I told him I would shove his a** out if he didn't go. Was probably about to get in to a fistfight when the roommate came out and told the guy to get out.

I do not tolerate people disrespecting my friends.

I don't usually confront people either but I have been known on occasion to do so when they are drunk and bilegerent

And the funny thing is, I heard my brother talking about it later. During the entire altercation, my brother stayed sitting on the couch ignoring everything and not wanting to get involved. The only time he got up was when belligerent drunk asked if he could please move to let him look for his phone under the couch cushion (forgot to mention that was where he was trying to go when I stepped in front of him-- trying to look for his phone). Once he was more polite and was just looking for his phone so he could leave, we helped him look. Anyway, according to my brother's version of events, when the guy tried to intimidate me, my bro claims he stood up and intimidated the guy. It's funny to me bc he didn't even stand up until asked by the guy. He was completely polite and nice to the guy the entire time. I admit that it had sort of irritated me that he just sat there like that.

I once caught my pediatrician when I was fishing. He and my father got along well-- he was a great guy-- so he went fishing with us. I think I was about 4 years old and I turned with my little orange kid's fishing pole and the hook caught the doctor's shirt or something. We called him a Dr. Ceealetty (I have no idea how to really spell the name) fish.

I played D&D early this morning and my friend's exgf came back to join. Then went to the store, post office, etc. Cooked for Mom. Then saw the messages on group chat that all hell broke loose with the exgf. She curbstomped his laptop, slashed up his charging cord, smashed his TV, and stole a bunch of stuff (including his external hard drive that had basically all of his music and important stuff on it). His roommate didn't know she'd done all of that and she asked him for a lift to another town. His phone wasn't working so we couldn't get ahold of him to tell him what happened. She must have seen the messages and realized she was in trouble so she had him drop her off early and had some random strange guy pick her up. She's now fleeing from the law because she's on probation and will go to jail if/when she gets caught. Local police did no give a rat's behind, so my bro is going to get in touch with his friend in the sheriff's department to see if they can catch her before she gets rid of the stuff she took.

Seems females might be a little touchy where you live. What locality is that again?
Who am I foolin, all exgirlfriends are crazy. 😁

I think the girls around here are just extra crazy. I don't know if it's the inbreeding or something in the water or what...
I'm rather miffed at the local police-- not only did they fail to contact the sheriff's department (to inform them about someone violating parole, committing a crime, and then fleeing the town), but when I asked them about contacting the parole officer so they could track her phone they asked ME who her parole officer was. I said that if I knew I would have personally called the officer. Then they told me that they had "no way of finding out" who the parole officer was. I think my head almost exploded from the stupidity of it. I'm fairly certain they have computers and could have put her name and info into the system and come up with who her parole officer was, but they wouldn't even try. So, last we heard the chick had fled to Lake Charles. I called the sheriff's office and they hadn't heard anything about it (even though they should have been informed the day before). She's probably in Texas by now. At least she didn't take their baby with her.
To add insult to it all, my friend just got his paycheck from McDonalds and it was only half of what it was supposed to be. Apparently they are a week behind on the paychecks and told all of the employees they shorted that they would have to wait another two weeks to get paid what they are owed. He really needed that money to pay rent.
Before the paycheck thing, I ordered him a 4TB hard drive that I found on sale. I know the hard drive and being able to back up his data is important to him. I brought over some bread, fruit, and the hard drive. He was speechless and looked like he was going to cry. Gave me a big hug for a few minutes before he was able to speak again and thanked me.
Meanwhile, another friend has given up on fixing up the burned house and is focusing on another house that his late grandmother wanted him to have (but his mother wouldn't let him have it until now). It's not livable yet. Has a bad roof leak so he's trying to sort that out. It is a smaller house but it has a much larger yard than the old one. The old one was a decent sized house with 3 bedrooms but the yard was absolutely tiny. This one has space to expand and already has some trailers on it.

had a friend of my wife stop in the other day, said the police were chasing her. So we asked whats' going on? So she starts tell in the loooong story about how she had $1 in here account and bounced a check. Then some how she had acquired a pocket full of cash and ended up at the casino. They chase her out. She showed up with a deaf mute she befriended at the casino. Turns out she was tripping. She sort of hijacked the deaf guy 12 hrs prior. I took him back to the casino to get his truck. She was put in the hospital for psych evaluation.

Now I know why she can't keep a job for more than a couple weeks

Went to the ball game last night, Padres vs Giants.
Standard Plumbing ( a local plumbing supply) had the t-mobil deck right at field level Center field. Food and Beer included.

Did the BA test again on the way out. I thought I was holding back because I had to drive. I only had 5 beers I was only 0.018.
I could of sucked a few more down.

Wife ( after 6 or 7 and daughter after 2 maybe 3) were 0.085 and 0.09.

It's hot as hell down here.
I ate something that didn't agree with me last night and am waiting for the medicine to help. I really need to stop procrastinating and get some stuff done. I need to clean the litterboxes and pick up in the kitchen (someone *coughbrothercough* left the upper cabinets open and the cats knocked stuff out and on to the floor). Fortunately nothing seems to have broken.

I haven't done much of anything with this heat around here. I did go into the pool with mama last night and had a glass of wine, while listening to some good ol Jimmy Buffett.

I'm waiting for morning and for the vet's office to open to see if I can get my dog an autopsy. Tina died a few feet away from where I found Captain Fluffy's body. She was sitting in a similar position when I found her (but she was still alive). She was paralyzed/lip except for seizure-like behavior where she tensed up, stretched her neck, and barked in a panicked barking sound. I carried her inside and put her on her favorite cushion, covered her with a towel and blanket, and stayed with her until the end. Her tongue was hanging out since she couldn't move (I noticed Captain Fluffy's tongue was hanging out as wel). No foam at the mouth or signs of vomit. No visible signs of injury. I'm getting concerned.

I don't think it was the mosquito poison the city sprayed in my yard a week or so ago-- it would have affected the other pets. Although, they weren't supposed to spray inside my yard- they are supposed to turn around just outside the gate, but this time they came all the way in, turned around in the driveway, backed up so close they almost hit my truck and sat there for about a minute spraying poison directly on the back of my truck before they left.
