Brass for drinking water?

As I read through the thread, I hadn't noticed that the issue of the valve being for use on gas lines and not potable water was properly addressed. Did I miss something?

you guys are correct, the link shows a gas valve.

if the valve has wog stamped on it, it may be used on water,oil, gas

if no such stamp it is onlly used as it is sold, gas valve
