xps foam under water heater

Can I put XPS foam, the pink stuff 2" under my water heater to raise it off the ground and help it insualte better from the cold concrete floor? Will the xps foam want to shrink or sink after a long time?

Electric water heater? sure. Nobody does that b/c there is insulation built in to the bottom of water heaters.
With new Hybrid water heaters maybe for vibration isolation.

yes its electric and it also is a hybrid heat pump
