I need to replace the piping under my sink so I measured the pipes to compare with a chart. All the industry charts give both inner diameter and outer diameters. So the plastic piping I have is 1.48" OD. The PVC tables only have 1.315 and then 1.60 inches, so mine is some strange in between size! Where can I go to get my size? I measured both the little wite piece at the bottom of the sink and also the black piece below that.

I thought 1.5" had an INNER diameter of 1.5, yet I measured an outer diameter of slightly less than that.

Crazy huh.......

I concur it’s 1.5” tubular. Don’t get caught up with your tape measure.

The pipe that glued together is 1.5 sch40 pvc.

LOL, I didn't use a tape measure. I used calipers. Are my calipers that wrong? Nope. I20211106_154927.jpg

half of 64 is 32. So you are basically 1 1/2”. Tubular PVC is designed to fit inside 1 1/2” ABS or PVC pipe. As was stated before it is 1 1/2” tubular PVC.
