What to do? Repair or replacement?

I don't know what's up with this corroded looking tub drain. It doesn't appear to have any threads so it can't be removed with the usual methods. The tub doesn't hold water. 90's era starter home. Thanks

I'd get that out of there before a large piece of it falls into your pipe and causes more problems. Should be easy to remove and replace.
