What kind of drain stopper system is this / how to unclog?

Hi and thanks in advance for your help. I have a 1950's sink with a type of drain stopper that i do not know what its called, and I cannot find any information on line. What is this drain system called? How do I remove the stopper?

Use a wet vac to remove the water,you may be able to get a utility knife under the pop-up it's hard to see how that mechanism works,you should also think about replacing the chrome trap at so point,soon

That’s a Crane concealed pop up.

It turns and lifts out, or it’s suppose to.

Hair and junk can get in there and they can be hard to spin and lift out.

Here’s a link on how to take it all apart. Proceed with caution. You’re dealing with an antique. I really suggest you leave it alone once you get it draining.
