I learned something sitting in a mexican restaurant.

the cook came out wi his lunch, sat down and ate a half of a hot jalapino
then he took a chip and put some butter on it, ate the other half of the pepper
another buttered chip.
i watched him, then i picked up a pepper ate it, spread butter on a chip and ate it.
the butter cuts the heat,
try it.

When I first started driving (OTR), I had a layover in a motel below Dallas. Now I had frequented TACO HELL and thought I was thoroughly TEX-MEX edumicated.

I ordered some type of Mexican platter at the motel restaurant and when she set it down, it had what I thought were tiny pickles on the plate...

I bit into one...

Tears, snot and ear wax started to run. Couldn't breathe! Busted out the front door to try and contain myself...

I now have a great respect now for Mexicans. They are a tough bunch...
