My neighbor is paying $600 a week for the weight loss, er, blood sugar shot. She has lost 50 pounds in 3 weeks. Now she is afraid to go in public because people are singing that Ozempic song, which is embarrassing to her. By hiding from the public, people will think she is working hard on the treadmill. I really don't care as long as you are healthier. I too am down 55 pounds since last July, by walking 3-4 miles a day. Today it was a 5 miler. I'm enjoying the endorphins running thru my body.
You mean your not using those gummies that you see advertised everywhere ? Shark tank loves them... :)
Maybe they work, who knows.
Hiking is great, I wish I could... I got the shingles shot /s ... it destroyed my nervous system. I think I'm slowly recovering, but maybe I'll eventually be able to hike again. (A hike for me is to make it into and around walmart and back to the car,,, )

That sucks! My doctor is always pushing me to get the shingles ****, I mean shot... I refuse to take any shots! I don't trust this health care system at all.

Personally, I sure wouldn't advise it. So many people with neurological problems afterwards. I know one fella thats a quadriplegic now, they have admitted fault but still in the court system.
No vaxs, no shots, unless I step on a rusty nail or get an std.

I'm taking Metformin 1,000mg 1x per day but it is a delayed release one. It still gives me some digestive issues from time to time but it wasn't bringing the sugar down. Part of it was I'd been eating donuts and other stuff I shouldn't have been eating and I wasn't getting enough exercise. I need to do more exercise and burn more calories to bring my blood sugar down. The Ozempic is a temporary thing. I probably will not get a refill since I got the 6 week free sample thing.

Yesterday I went to samsclub and then ate at the chinese place with my brother. He unloaded the water and most of the groceries from the truck for me.

Mom wouldn't eat breakfast this morning-- said she felt nauseous. So she had breakfast around 3pm. She wanted eggs and toast.

Had to break up cat fights-- most involving Senator Snugglebum. First he went after Ginger for no apparent reason and Biscuits jumped on him for it and Yasuke jumped in when Biscuits was losing. Then Snugs jumped on Bethesda and Gravy Jones jumped on him. There is cat fur all over the floor from that. Then Snugs was starting stuff with Yasuke again. He normally goes outside when he's feeling this aggressive but its been raining. We told my brother he needs to get his cats neutered. So that's Snugglebum, Gravy Jones, Yasuke, and Biscuits that all need to be snipped.

Wow, how many cats do you have ?
Yes, I use the extended version also. As long as I take it with food it doesn't bother me. But I have found that I can have cereal (like fiber one, or shredded wheat., or a couple pieces of toast for breakfast as long as I eat protien with it... (1/2 cup cottage cheese and about the same of light vanilla Greek yogurt) that gives me almost 30 grams of protien.
That keeps my sugar down around 140. Without the protien, I'm at 190+.

Head for the hills, boys!!😬😬

Z is good peeps, along with her good mom, her great 6 dogs and 18 cats. She does have a lazy brother, but he is currently injured, so he gets a pass from me for another week. ;)

I think he was saying the cats need to run because I want to get them neutered.

I currently have 2 dogs, 2 cows, and I'm down to 12 cats. I miss having goats, pigs, and chickens. Goats eat weeds and keep the grass down. Pigs are organic garbage disposals. Chickens make the eggs and keep the yard clear-- they ate tree seeds to prevent new trees from sprouting. I also miss the guinea fowl because they were good alarms for trespassers. I used to have a list of all of the names of my goats somewhere. Used to have all 63 cats (back in the day) listed too. Oh, and I miss my rabbits.

Right now my cows are Kwai-Ying and Alleria.
Dogs are Fippy and Princess.
Cats: Boo, Itsy, Ginger, Rupert, Mewlatto, Yasuke, Biscuits, Gravy Jones, Senator Snugglebum, Aminatu, Lady Sylvanas, and Bethesda.

Brother's ankle is getting better but he did something to his toe so it is swollen and sore-- giving him a lot of pain and trouble walking. He's back at work but they are giving him shorter hours and fewer days to allow him to recover. He said he can afford to get his cats neutered but it has to be one at a time and they need to get their rabies shots first. Found a place in Lake Charles that does cheap neutering but they need to have rabies shots first.

Holy Smokes Z.... how much land do you have ? I grew up on 60 acres with a couple cows, a few horses, chickens , a few cats.. and a dog. but no pigs,or goats and certainly not 63 cats.
We butchered one of the calves, but my mom couldn't eat any, since she had named it and gotten to close.

Glad to see your brother's ankle is getting better! My left ankle has been bothering me since last October. A primary care, a podiatrist and an orthopedic guy later and I've been diagnosed with "posterior tibialis tendinitis" and "progressing collapsing foot deformity", PCFD or flat feet, and he thinks the tendon is torn but needs an MRI to prove it. The only opening the local MRI guy has for the entire summer is Sunday, May 26, at 5:00am. Other than those attached to a hospital, I had no idea places like that are open on Sundays! (I was hoping they'd find some bone spurs but no such luck!)

Regarding the cats, are the females in your herd spayed or are you at risk for more cats?

She lives in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 34th floor.
