greetings,

i'm looking to find the recovery rate of my well...

with a 60psi gould pump i drew down my well level to 104 inches - measured from the top rim. where it stays at over 2 hrs of pumping.

when i turn off the pump it takes 8 minutes to recover to the depth of 79 inches - measured from the top rim.

a difference of 25 inches.

my well is 153 inches deep.

and has a diameter of 30 inches.

can i discover any info from these figures?

thanks.

I'm confused by the 60 psi Goulds pump. What is the pump putting out in gallons per minute? That would be a more useful number to work with.

i think i recall filling a 90 gallon stock tank last summer and timed it at approx 12 minutes.

but you're right a measure of how many gallons per minute would be useful.
