Hey guys I dont post much here, but looking for some help, i recently upgraded my pressure tank for my well from a 20g to an 86g, I verified the precharge was at 38psi and my pressure switch is a 40/60.
My problem is I dont think my pressure gauge on the manifold in working correctly. Should the pressure at the tank be the same as the pressure at the gauge. For example if I hooked a gauge to the air charge fill port on the tank and had the switch cycle on and off could I accurately get cut off and cut on?
I am not the original owner of this house and I think the previous owners may have adjusted the pressure switch
Let me know what you think, obviously I could go out and get a new gauge but hoping I can get in the ball park using the method above
