our water pressure regulator woes continue. city water.

i adjusted the pressure regulator to reduce the pressure from 72psi.

the nearest tap is on the laundry tub and the gauge fits it.
after adjusting the guage still read 72psi at the sink.
BUT the kitchen and bathrooms water pressure is way less than it was before!
yes they are all on the same water circuit - we checked in the crawl.

does it take days to settle down? we ran the laundry tap for a little while - still 72.
we tried to get adapters to fit the gauge to the other taps but it would not fit.
thanks all

What does venting liquid filled gauges have to do with anything?

i'm scratching my head, wondering wth

listen up.

you said your gauge fits the hose connection on the washing machine

if this is true.

buy a 1/2'' ips female thread x male hose adapter.

remove the shower head, install adapter on the crooked nipple sticking out of the wall and screw the gauge on the adapter

turn on the cold on the tub, then turn on the shower

while you are doing this, soak the shower head in a bowl of vinegar to clean the calicum and junk

Laundy sink is where it fits, and outside taps
washing machine place is not usable for this
shower head thing sounds great.
I sent the PDF because that is what the manufacturer sent.
we will swap the gauge for a non liquid filled one and see what happens.

thanks all

He explained on how to check the pressure at the showerhead.

well $280 later the PRV is replaced - simple job with easy access.
but now it seems to be working.
thanks all
PS those copper looking bands - are they what they use now?
