I've had three different people look at this job, and now trying to decide what size meter and supply line to go with. We are building a new house so we are having a water line installed. The house will be 680 feet from the road. I had planned on having a 2" supply line ran all the way up to the house. Assuming they use 2" PVC will a 3/4" water meter be sufficient? I do plan on having a sprinkler system installed also if that matters. I could step up to the 1" meter...double the cost and it also has a minimal bill each month that's about double what our current usage is. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. It will just be a simple sprinkler setup, watering an acre at max with multiple zones for sure. Looks like the mainline pressure from the water company is 80psi, from what I just found out.
