Toilet seat is loose

Just moved into new house. Toilet seat is loose. Tightened the bolts but still loose. Upon investigation see that a piece is missing from the left side where seat is secured to the bowl. Right side is fine. Can this be fixed or do I have to buy a new seat?

Just go to one of the box stores and make sure you know if its a round or elongated toilet. You can buy
an inexpensive one there if thats what you want.
