I put in a new bidet attachment on a toilet and tried re-use the toilet connector that has a plastic nut (to the T-adapter) since it's only a year old. It's hand-tighten only and as tight as it was going to get... but still leaked. I don't recall issues with leaking last yr even without teflon tape.
Anyway, I finally replaced the toilet connector with one with a metal connection (only $1.xx more at Home Depot, no-brainer for me) and no leaks right away. It's not even all that tight, and no teflon tape necessary. See picture of the 1-yr old 'leaky' toilet connector. Looks normal to me? Are these supposed to be one-time use only?
