I also use the propane back up for outages..... along with a 13K generator.

I assume this unit is meant for outdoors or garages only. I could have used one in the garage while storing tropical plants in an unheated garage during this deep Texas freeze

Natural gas. No heat in the garage now.

If a copper line freezes and breaks a sharkbite fitting will probably not fit, the copper is stretched. What I have done is use 5/8 automotive heater hose and 2 clamps on each end, has worked well for me
