We have a Submersible Utility pump which we've had for about a week. After a flood in our basement we used it to pump the water out and it worked fine. We had another flood again a few days later and this time when we tried to use it, it wouldn't pump the water through a hose. We tried three different hoses and the same result each time. Without a hose attached it pumps fine. Water fountains out as normal. Attach a hose and then nothing comes out. I've checked the impeller and checked for any blockages and there's nothing. I attached the hoses to an outdoor spigot to check them and they are fine. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Is an airlock in the pump or hose stopping it? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You may be trying to push the water too far up. Sump type pumps don't make much head which means they will typically push water up vertically about 30'. A utility pump may do more like ten maximum.
