I noticed that your typical drain auger (hand operated) from Home Depot is just carbon steel, so it gets rusty. That's actually hard to believe, as I'd assume that any tools that are designed to operate near water would be stainless. (I bought a kitchen sink strainer at the hardware store long ago that turned out to be ordinary carbon steel. Ruined it the first time I used it!)
Anyone know of a source for a stainless steel drain auger? (Just to be sure, I'm talking about the spring/coil part - the handle is rubber and galvanized steel.)
