I am in GA north of metro Atlanta. House on hill. Looking at house septic tank sits to the left of house then drains down hill to field which run parrallel to house (back yard) and finishes to the right back in corner of yard. This area is always very soggy. Sometimes really soggy. Is this the nature of septic systems or is it possible the drain field doesn't allow the water to leach out through the field and all 6000 gallons a month go to the end. Anything to worry about? Tank was pumped within the past year. Never had any issues other than this and this back yard is never used by anyone other than the cat. Its a fairly steep hill.
