Thanks for reading this message!
I am starting a restroom trailer business that also provides free restroom and shower facilities to the homeless, and had had an idea that I think will change the restroom trailer industry forever: sloan flushometer toilets in single station restroom trailers! A lot of them. Like 20 at least.
Here's the problem, the cost. The cheapest restroom trailer I've seen is 16k. That's without a shower.
The solution? Build my own. But not from the ground up!
I want buy super rough shells in bulk and just customize them with the help of an experienced handyman to keep costs down.
Customization include shallow well jet pump with pressure tank, Sloan flushometer toilets, a cabinet vessel sink, vanity mirror with 4 light vanity above, and regular shower head.
First question. Can I just buy a 1/2 horsepower shallow well pump with pressure tank for like $500, hook it up to the freshwater tank, and get a couple of good flushes of the flushometer toilet out of it? I know the manual says it requires 25gpm at 25psi flowing, but it only uses 1.6gpf.
Second question. Where should the wall pipe opening be on the wall for a flushometer toilet? Also, what size should that pipe diameter be? Any special requests to ask the manufacturer?
Third question. The unit has an rv style urinal. How do I make it a flushometer urinal?
Thanks!
Edit: On second thought, I think I will go over the design specifications by choosing what toilet, urinal, and sink I want and consult with a plumber. Well, I guess you guys are plumbers. So one last thing, what flush valve urinal, flush valve toilet, and vessel sink combo do you recommend? I will design the trailer based on that. Thanks!@
