Hello,
Our powder room sink drain flange (I think that’s the term) cracked and a piece has come off (see pics). It doesn’t cause any leakage but it’s an absolute eyesore.
It seems to replace this piece I need to redo the entire drain pipe since it’s all connected. The issue is that it’s a very tight space (about 5 inches between the wall and fixture) and I’m having issues accessing the drain pipe itself, let alone doing the actual change with unscrewing everything and rescrewing and sealing the new drain pipe, flange, lift rod, etc into place.
Any advice for a novice at DIY sink stuff? I’d have no issues if this was in our main bathroom where you can open the cabinet doors and fully access the drain, but in this tight space I’m wondering how to go about this project. Pics are attached and thank you in advance!
