I am doing a reno on my shower, which is on the second floor. nothing was done according to code by the builder, the rubber is laid on the wood without any slope and the flange is not attached to the wood.
how can I remove the top piece and the rubber without cutting pipe?
I was hoping the top piece will unscrew and then remove the bolts that catch the rubber and done.

the link should be viewable by everybody, let me know otherwise.
Cheers

Usually the top piece unscrews then you have a few bolts that clamp the the liner in between the drain. The assembly is three pieces.

But it’ll all need to come off and a new drain installed onto the pipe itself.

So, you say, I will need to cut the pipe from below, then extend the pipe to proper length and install the new drain.
