I have slow-draining sinks and want to try a Drain King to clear any blockage. The 2 useful Drain King sizes are 1"-2" and 1.5"-3".

Should I measure the ID or OD of the PVC pipe below my sinks to select one?

Will the 1.5"-3" Drain King fit into a 1.5" ID opening (which is what one sink is at the metal lip on the sink itself)?

Thanks!

You’ll most likely want to use the smaller one.

Be careful and don’t flood your kitchen 👍. Or another room…..✌️

I had to look it up, but I think the drain king goes inside the drain so you'd go by the ID. There is a chart on the ID of pipes pinned somewhere. I'm thinking you'd want to go less than 1.5" because some sinks are only 1.25" but I really don't know. They might list the nominal pipe size it works for. Might want to ask the seller or manufacturer.

Although that drain balloon sounds like a good idea, if the stoppage is to much and the balloon doesn't break it up you WILL flood you kitchen ..... no plumber or drain co starts off using that method just trying to save you a mess
