New member - guess I was posting on Closed thread for a similar topic.
Shower control will flop to the right(full hot) and cook the wife sometimes.
Cheaper to repair than a divorce (I think).
Details:
Faceplate about 8 inches brand- SEPCO Si TEMP-RITE
Single handle Brass and Chrome
Stem is about .6 inches
Stem OD is about .5
Distance to Valve body to Stem about 3 inches
Casting has SA inside small circle on left side
Casting number - hard to read but 2ACM X2 - might be wrong on the M or X
Looks like an adjustment on the underside frontside(not shown in my pic)
Attaching some pics - reluctant to try to remove the valve and
take more pics due to stuck shut off valve.
Local supply houses have not heard of this brand.
I found a posting somewhere that suggest the valve is common
and not MFG by SEPCO.
Do the pics and above info help ID a replacement cartridge?
If I can remove the valve is it potentially rebuildable with simple O rings?
Thanks
