I'd like a shower 'spa' until in my bathroom remodel, but I'd like to use Price Pfister's Ashfield line of faucets. They don't make a pre-packaged multi-headed shower system in that model.

Has anyone tried buying a thermostatic valve and volume valves, and putting the trim on them? So I'd buy a Price thermostatic valve and a few volume control valves and an Ashfield shower handle trim kit, other Ashfield trim kits and install them on the valves.

It seems reasonable to me, but I've never tried it and I don't have access to the parts to try. Does anyone know if the valves and trim kits are of similar sizes and would match up?

Thanks.
