Rheem Protera 50 Gallon Hybrid Water Heater Supply Inlet

This question is more of a "Check Myself Before I Wreck Myself!"... Need to modify my plumbing a little between my cold water shutoff valve and the inlet to my Rheem Hybrid Water Heater and not used to having the supply line at the bottom of a tank. Is there a check valve on this tanks cold water inlet? I assume there is, but really want confirmation before flooding my newly remodeled laundry room with 50 gallons of water!!!

Ouch... Thanks for the response. Guess I am draining this thing in a couple of months (just got through going a week without hot water).
