Reverse osmosis system pump advice needed

My Reverse osmosis system has a Automatic Shut Off Valve which prevents me from adding a booster pump my understanding is that the shut off valve would break a booster pump is this correct?
any workarounds that could work?

yes the manufacturer is unhelpful, avoiding answering any technical questions , advising me to buy a different system.
