Heat up the tee around the nipple.

another way is to cut the nipple close to the cast iron threads in a few places close together...then use a hammer and small chisel to remove the slices you cut that will leave an open space were you would use the hammer and chisel to somewhat crush the nipple so its smaller than the threaded opening and you should be able to pull it out.....this would be you last option just because you could damage the cast iron fitting if your not careful....

No serious attempt has been made to unscrew that nipple. Big pipe wrench and a lot of elbow grease usually gets it out. Old nipple is ALWAYS destroyed during removal so that one looks untouched.

Unless it's a hydraulic nipple a pipe wrench has a real good chance of only egging the nipple. penetrating oil - don't waste your time. As previously mentioned, cut it off flush and then split it by sawing. If you are an X-pert with a saws all go at it. If not clamp a hack saw blade between a couple of strips of wood and cut on the pull stroke. You'll be able to feel when the teeth first contact a thread. If the length isn't cut off, one cut often does the trick using a couple of hammers, 1 as backup. Cut off, 2 cuts may be necessary.
Not many plumbers have a Proto easy-out that size.

    Good job
,but You were lucky it didn't deform worse. If there is ever a next time consider putting a socket in the nipple to reduce the deformation some.
