I want to remove a bidet in my master bathroom and put all new flooring in, covering the drain where the bidet was. How do I seal off the drain hole before I put the new flooring in? Thanks!!!

We are in Illinois, it's the second floor with 3/4" ply subfloor and PVC drain piping. If I get the level of the drain pipe below the subfloor, what exactly do I need to cap off the drain pipe? Thanks!

Will this work?

no, that is a test cap, it is rubber, it will deteriorate over time and leak.

you need a hard cap "glue"
