Were attempting to replace our yucky old jetted tub (no brand name visible) that's been in our house since before I was born! We're converting from a jetted tub surround to a walk in shower. But there's no access panel visible!

Any tips for removal? Do we just cut the power to the room and start cutting it out?

No. Turn water off. Remove trim for valve and maybe cartridges. Take out drain fitting and overflow. Take a knife and cut caulk off every seam touching other things( walls , floors, ceiling) then get a saws all and go with your idea. Don’t cut the basin of tub. Just above tub rim will be good. Then cut off front apron of tub. There is your plug in there for electric. Good bi metal blade about 4” long will melt right thru fiberglass and likely to not touch much else back there. But there is some wood structure imbedded in fiberglass. So be careful but know that yes you may start cutting wood. The smaller you cut it up the easier to carry they house. But I don’t mean 2’x2’ prices. Cut big enough to make worth effort but don’t create more work picking up pieces.

Wow!! Thank you so much-- that is immensely helpful. Now we have a place to start, ha!

Cut power and water supply. Spin out drain with a tub wrench (or needle nose pliers with a screw driver for leverage) a few screws should unbolt the overflow and then go at it!! Metal sawzall blade will cut like butter! Section that baby up and voila!
